Although his literary career had started from 101, his first Hindi story was published in the December issue of Saraswati Patrika under the name Sita in 1915 and in 1936 the last story was published under the name Kafan. Novel: Sevasadan, Premashram, Nirmala, Rangbhoomi, Gaban, Godan; Story collection: Salt Ka Daroga, Prem Pachisi, Sono Batan, Prem Tirtha, Pope Phool, Sapta Suman: Balsahitya: Dog Story, Jungle Stories etc. Kritis Premchand's composition - vision got involved in various literary forms.
Versatile talent Pan Premchand created literature in many genres like novel, story, drama, review, tey, editorial, memoir etc. He was mainly known as a storyteller and was honored with the title of 'Novel Emperor' during his lifetime. He composed a total of 25 novels, a little more than 300 stories, plays, 20 translations, children's books and thousands of pages of articles, editorials, speeches, roles, letters, etc. But the fame and prestige that he got from novels and stories, he Not available in other modes.

The core of Premchand's novels was Indian rural life, the height that Premchand gave to the Hindi novel, it remained a challenge for the novelists. Premchand's novels were translated into many languages of India and the world, especially his most famous novel Godan. Asrare Maabid c] Devasthan Rahasya Published in Urdu weekly Awaaz-e-Khalk' from October 4, 1901 to February 1, 1905. Sevasadan 1928 , Premasama 1922 , Rangbhoomi 1925 , Nirmala 1925 Kayakalp 1920 Drone 1928 , Karmabhoomi 1932 , Godan 1959 Mangalsutra ( incomplete ) , Patija , Prema , Rangbhoomi , Manorama Blessing. Story Most of his stories depict the lower and middle class. Dr Kamalkishore Goenka has published the entire Hindi-Urdu story of Premchand under the name Premchand Kahani Rachnavali.
According to him, Premchand has written a total of 301 stories out of which 3 are still untraceable. Premchand's first story collection, Soshe Watan, was published in June 1908. The first story in this collection, Duniya Ka Most Anmol Ratan, is generally considered to be his first published story. According to Dr. Goenka, Worldly Prem and Desh-Prem (Ke Duniya Aur Hubbe Watan), published in the April issue of Zamana, an Urdu monthly magazine based out of Kanpur, is actually his first published story.

A total of nine story collections were published during his lifetime - Soze Watan 'Sapta Saroj', 'Navnidhi', 'Prempurnima', 'Prem-Pachisi', 'Prem-Prati', 'Prem-Dwadashi', 'Samaryatra', 'Mansarovar'. ' Part one and two and ' Shroud. After his death his stories were published in 8 parts titled 'Mansarovar'. As soon as Premchand was freed from the rights of literature, various editors and publishers prepared and published compilations of Premchand's stories. His stories have a variety of themes and crafts. He has made the main characters in his stories from all classes of human beings to animals and birds.
The problems of farmers, laborers, women, dalits, etc. have been portrayed seriously in his stories. He has written stories related to social reform, patriotism, freedom struggle etc. His historical stories and love stories also proved to be quite popular.
Among the main stories of Premchand these names can be taken 'Panch Parmeshwar', 'Gulli Danda', 'The Tale of Two Bullocks', 'Idgah', 'Bade Bhai Saheb', 'Poos Ki Raat', 'Kafan,' Thakur Ka Well', 'Salvation', 'Old Kaki', 'Tavan', 'Demolition', 'The price of milk', 'Mantra' etc. Natak Premchand composed the plays Sangram (1923), Karbala (1924) and Prem Ki Vedi (1933). These plays are good at the level of craft and sensation, but their stories and novels had attained such a height that Premchand did not get any special success in the field of drama.
These plays have actually become interactive novels. Articles / Essays Premchand was not only a sensitive storyteller, he was also a vigilant citizen and editor. He expressed his literary and social concerns through articles or essays while editing magazines like 'Hans', 'Madhuri', 'Jagran' etc. expressed. 'Premchand: Vividh Context' (three parts) edited by Amrit Rai is actually a compilation of Premchand's writings. Premchand's articles have also been published with the title 'Some Thoughts' from the Publications Institute. ' Tales of Tolstoy (1923 ) , three Galasworthy plays ' Strike (1930 ), Silver Box (1931 ) and Nyaya (1931 ) were translated . Azad - Katha (from Urdu, Ratannath Sarshar), father's letter to daughter's name (from English, Jawaharlal Nehru) by him, the Hindi translation of Ratannath Sarshar's Urdu novel Fasan-e-Azad, Azad Katha became very famous.
On the occasion of the award and honor, a postage stamp of his birth was issued on 31 July 1980 by the Indian Postal Department in Premchand's memory worth 30 paise.
