Gujarat Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education will soon inform the details of merit, structure and format of question paper as well as details of merit and structure of question paper as per revised syllabus of Std-9 and 11 subjects.  .

              શ્રી નરેન્દ્ર દામોદરદાસ મોદી (જન્મ: ૧૭ સપ્ટેમ્બર, ૧૯૫૦) ભારતના વડાપ્રધાન છે. તેઓ ગુજરાત રાજ્યના મુખ્ય મંત્રી પણ રહી ચૂક્યા છે અને ભારતીય જનતા પાર્ટી (ભાજપ)ના નેતા છે.

               નરેન્દ્ર દામોદરદાસ મોદીનો જન્મ એક મધ્યમ વર્ગના હિન્દુ કુટુંબમાં અમદાવાદથી ૧૧૨ કીમી અને મહેસાણાથી ૩૪ કીમી દૂર વડનગર ખાતે થયો હતો. તે દામોદરદાસ મૂલચંદ મોદી અને તેમના પત્ની હીરાબેન મોદીના છ સંતાન પૈકી ત્રીજુ સંતાન છે. તેમનું હુલામણું નામ એન.ડી. હતું. તે નાનપણથી જ રાષ્ટ્રીય સ્વયંસેવક સંઘના સભ્ય હતા. તેઓ ધાર્મિક હતા અને મહાદેવના મંદિરે જતા હતા. તેઓએ ૧૭ વર્ષની વયે ગૃહ ત્યાગ કર્યો હતો. તે હિમાલયમાં તેમજ રામકૃષ્ણ પરમહંસના બેલુર મઠમાં પણ રહી ચૂક્યા છે. ઈંદિરા ગાંધીએ લાદેલી કટોકટી વખતે તેઓ ભૂગર્ભમાં જતા રહ્યા હતા. આ કટોકટી વખતે જ તેમણે 'સંઘર્ષમાં ગુજરાત' નામનું પુસ્તક લખ્યું હતું. તેમને કિશોરાવસ્થાથી રાજકારણમાં રસ હતો. તેમણે ગુજરાત યુનિવર્સિટીમાંથી રાજકીય વિજ્ઞાનમાં અનુસ્નાતકની પદવી પ્રાપ્ત કરી છે. ૧૯૯૮માં ભારતીય જનતા પાર્ટી (ભાજપ)ના નેતા લાલકૃષ્ણ અડવાણીએ ગુજરાત અને હિમાચલ પ્રદેશની ચૂંટણીમાં પ્રચાર માટે તેમની પસંદગી કરી હતી. ઇ.સ. ૨૦૦૧ના વર્ષમાં પૂર્વ મુખ્યમંત્રી કેશુભાઈ પટેલે રાજીનામું આપ્યા બાદ તેઓ ૭ ઓક્ટોબર ૨૦૦૧ના દિવસે મુખ્યમંત્રી બન્યા હતા. વર્ષ ૨૦૧૨ની ચૂંટણીમાં જંગી બહુમતીથી જીત્યા બાદ તેઓ ગુજરાત રાજ્યના સતત ચોથી વખત ચૂંટાઈ આવેલા એક માત્ર મુખ્યમંત્રી છે. 

          તેઓ ગુજરાતના સૌથી લાંબો કાર્યકાળ ધરાવતા મુખ્યમંત્રી છે.

*અંગત જીવન* 

             નરેન્દ્ર મોદીનો જન્મ વડનગરનાં એક મધ્યમ વર્ગના હિન્દુ પરિવારમાં થયો હતો જે તે સમયે ભારતનાં મુંબઇ રાજ્યમાં આવતું હતુ. ૧૯૬૭માં તેમણે ગુજરાતમાં રેલ પ્રભાવિત લોકોની સેવા કરી હતી. યુવાન વયે જ તેઓ અખિલ ભારતીય વિધાર્થી પરિષદ સાથે જોડાઈ ગયા હતા.યુવાનાવસ્થામાં તેઓ અખિલ ભારતીય વિદ્યાર્થી પરિષદ સંસ્થામાં એક વિદ્યાર્થી તરીકે જોડાયા અને ભ્રષ્ટાચાર વિરોધી નવનિર્માણ આંદોલનમાં સક્રિય ભાગ ભજવ્યો હતો. અખિલ ભારતીય વિદ્યાર્થી પરિષદમાં સંપૂર્ણ સમયના કાર્યકર તરીકે જોડાયા પછી તેમને ભારતીય જનતા પાર્ટી (ભાજપ)ના પ્રતિનિધિ તરીકે પસંદ કરવામાં આવ્યા હતા.તેઓ કિશોરાવસ્થામાં તેમના ભાઈ સાથે ચાની લારી ચલાવતા હતા. તેમણે ભારતમાં સામાજીક અને સાંસ્કૃતિક વિકાસના કાર્ય સાથે સંકળાયેલી સંસ્થા 'રાષ્ટ્રીય સ્વયંસેવક સંઘ' સાથે જોડાઈને પણ કાર્ય કર્યું છે.

            નરેન્દ્ર મોદીએ શાળાકીય અભ્યાસ વડનગરમાં પૂર્ણ કરેલો છે. તેઓ ગુજરાત યુનિવર્સિટીમાંથી રાજયશાસ્ત્ર વિષય સાથે અનુસ્નાતક થયા હતા. તે એક સારા લેખક તરીકે પણ જાણીતા છે, તેમના લખાયેલા ઘણા પુસ્તકો પ્રસિદ્ધ પણ થયા છે.

*પ્રારંભિક પ્રવૃત્તિઓ અને રાજકારણ :* 

આર.એસ.એસ. સાથેના તેમના કાર્યકાળ દરમિયાન, મોદીએ ૧૯૭૪ ભ્રષ્ટાચાર વિરોધી આંદોલન અને ૧૯ મહિનાની (જૂન ૧૯૭૫ થી જાન્યુઆરી ૧૯૭૭) લાંબી 'કટોકટી' સહિત અનેક મહત્વપૂર્ણ અને કપરા પ્રસંગો પર ભૂમિકા ભજવી હતી. મોદી તેમના યુનિવર્સિટીના વર્ષ દરમ્યાન આરએસએસના એક પ્રચારક તરીકે હતા.

          તેમણે ૧૯૮૭માં ભાજપમાં જોડાયા અને તેના દ્વારા રાજકારણના મુખ્ય પ્રવાહમાં દાખલ થયા. માત્ર એક વર્ષમાં તેમની ગુજરાત એકમના જનરલ સેક્રેટરી સ્તર પર તેમની વરણી કરવામાં આવી હતી. 

          ત્યારબાદ પક્ષે રાજકીય કક્ષાએ ગતિ મેળવવાની શરૂ થઇ અને એપ્રિલ ૧૯૯૦ ના કેન્દ્રમાં સંયુક્ત સરકારની રચના કરી હતી. આ ભાગીદારી થોડા મહિના સુધી નિમિત્ત હતી, પરંતુ ભાજપ ગુજરાત માં બે તૃતીયાંશ બહુમતી સાથે ૧૯૯૫ માં સત્તા પર આવી હતી.આ સમયગાળામાં મોદીએ "સોમનાથ થી અયોધ્યાની રથયાત્રા" (એક રૂપાંતરિત ટોયોટા વાન પર ભારત દ્વારા રાજકીય રેલીમાં) અને "કન્યાકુમારી થી કાશ્મીર" (ભારતના દક્ષિણનો ભાગ)ની કુચ જેવા નિર્ણાયક રાષ્ટ્રીય પ્રસંગોની જવાબદારી ઉપાડી હતી.

         શંકરસિંહ વાઘેલાની ભાજપમાંથી બાદબાકી થયા બાદ કેશુભાઈ પટેલ ગુજરાતના મુખ્યમંત્રી તરીકે નિયુકત થયા અને નરેન્દ્ર મોદીએ પક્ષ જનરલ સેક્રેટરી તરીકે દિલ્હી મોકલવામાં આવ્યા હતા.

*રાજકીય કારકિર્દી*  *:* 

              દેશના વડાપ્રધાન તરીકે ઉભરી રહેલા નરેન્‍દ્ર મોદી ઘણા વર્ષો સુધી રાષ્‍ટ્રીય સ્‍વયંસેવક સંઘના પ્રચારક રહ્યા હતા. તેમણે ગુજરાત યુનિર્વસિટીમાંથી રાજકીય શાખાની માસ્‍ટર ડિગ્રી મેળવી હતી. ત્‍યારબાદ તેમણે રાજનીતિમાં ઝંપલાવ્‍યું હતુ.

૧૯૯૪માં ગુજરાત વિધાનસભામાં ભાજપની જીતમાં મોદીની રણનીતિ સફળ રહી.

૧૯૯૪માં મોદીને પક્ષના રાષ્‍ટ્રીય સચિવ બનાવાયા.

૧૯૯૮માં પક્ષના મહાસચિવ બનાવાયા.

         વર્ષ ૨૦૦૨માં વિધાનસભાની ૧૮૨ સીટોમાંથી ૧૨૭ સીટો મેળવીને ભાજપને જંગી બહુમતિથી વિજય અપાવ્‍યો. ૨૦૦૭માં બીજી વખત જંગી બહુમતિ મેળવીને મુખ્‍યમંત્રી તરીકે નિયુક્‍ત થયા હતા.

૨૦૧૧ના અંતમાં અને ૨૦૧૨માં સદ્‌ભાવના મિશન જેવા અભિયાનો હાથ ધરીને ઉપવાસ કર્યા હતા જેની દેશભરમાં નોંધ લેવાઈ હતી.

વર્ષ ૨૦૧૨માં ગુજરાતમાં મોદીના નેતૃત્વ હેઠળ ત્રીજી વખત વિધાનસભાની ચૂંટણી જીતીને સતત ત્રીજી વખત મુખ્‍યમંત્રી તરીકે નિયુક્‍ત થયા છે.

માર્ચ ૨૦૧૩માં ભાજપના સંસદીય બોર્ડના મુખ્‍ય સભ્‍ય તરીકે નિમણૂંક કરાઈ હતી.

જૂન ૨૦૧૩માં ગોવામાં ભાજપના ચૂંટણી પ્રચાર સમિતિના અધ્‍યક્ષ પદે નિયુક્‍ત કરાયા હતા.

*ગુજરાતનો વિકાસ :* 

              મોદીએ જ્યારે ગુજરાતની સત્તા સંભાળી સરકારનું વહીવટી ખાતું ફરી સંગઠિત કર્યું અને મોટા પાયે ખર્ચ પર કાપ મુક્યો. જેના કારણે મોદી શાસનના પ્રથમ તબક્કામાં ગુજરાતની આર્થિક વૃદ્ધિમાં ૧૦ ટકાનો વધારો જોવા મળ્યો. આ વધારો ભારતના અન્ય કોઈ પણ રાજ્ય કરતા વધારે હતો.

          મુખ્યમંત્રી તરીકે, મોદીએ ગુજરાતનો વિકાસ વિવિધ યોજનાઓ દ્વારા અમલમાં મૂક્યો છે. આમાં પંચામૃત યોજનાનો સમાવેશ થાય છે, રાજ્યના સંકલિત વિકાસ માટે પાંચ -પાંખિયાવાળી વ્યૂહરચના, "સુજલામ-સુફલામ", જળ સંરક્ષણ અને તેના ઉચિત વપરાશ તરફી એક નવીન પગલામાં ગુજરાતમાં જળ સંસાધનોની એક ગ્રીડ રચવાની યોજના છે.

√ ચિરંજીવી યોજના – શિશુ મૃત્યુ દર ઘટાડવા માટે

√ માતૃ વંદના – પ્રજનન અને બાળ આરોગ્ય કાર્યક્રમ અંતર્ગત પ્રતિબંધક અને ઉપચારાત્મક સેવાઓ ઉપલબ્ધ કરાવે છે

√ બેટી બચાવો – લૈંગિક ગુણોત્તર સુધારવા માટે શિશુ બાળકીઓને રક્ષણ આપવાની ઝુંબેશ

*૨૦૦૯ની ચુંટણી :* 

મોદીએ ૨૦૦૯ની લોકસભાની ચુંટણીના પ્રચારમાં ભાગ ભજવ્યો હતો. ૩૧ ઓક્ટોબર ૨૦૧૩ના રોજ મોદીની વરણી ભાજપની સર્વોચ્ચ નિર્ણય લેનારી મંડળી એટલે કે ભાજપ સંસદીય બોર્ડમાં કરવામાં આવી હતી. ૯ જૂન ૨૦૧૪ના દિવસે તેમને ભાજપની રાષ્ટ્રીય સ્તરની કારોબારી સમિતિની બેઠકમાં ૨૦૧૪ની લોકસભાની ચુંટણીમાં ભાજપની કેન્દ્રીય ચુંટણી પ્રચાર સમિતિના અધ્યક્ષ નિમવામાં આવ્યા હતા.

*૨૦૧૪ની લોકસભાની ચૂંટણી :* 

નરેન્દ્ર મોદી ૨૦૧૪માં લોકસભાની બે બેઠક પરથી ચુંટણી લડ્યા : વારાણસી અને વડોદરા. તેમને ધાર્મિક નેતા બાબા રામદેવ અને મોરારીબાપુનું પણ સમર્થન સાંપડ્યું હતું.

       મોદી જે બે બેઠકો પરથી ચૂંટણી લડ્યા તે બન્ને સીટ પરથી જીત્યા. જો કે એક વ્યક્તિ બે સંસદિય ક્ષેત્રોનું પ્રતિનિધિત્વ ન કરી શકે તે કારણે તેમણે ૨૯ મે ૨૦૧૪ના દિવસે વડોદરાની બેઠક પરથી રાજીનામું આપ્યું અને વારાણસી મતક્ષેત્રનું પ્રતિનિધિત્વ કરવાનો નિર્ણય લીધો. ચુંટણીમાં તેમણે ભાજપના વડપણ હેઠળ સ્થપાયેલા એન.ડી.એ. સંગઠનને જવલંત વિજય અપાવ્યો. નરેન્દ્ર મોદી, તેમની પાર્ટીના સફળ વિજય બાદ સર્વાનુમતે ભાજપના સંસદીય પક્ષના નેતા તરીકે ચુંટાઈ આવ્યા હતા અને છેવટે રાષ્ટ્રપતિએ તેમને શપથ લેવડાવી વડાપ્રધાન પદે નિમ્યા.

*૨૦૧૯ની ચૂંટણી :* 

         ૧૩ ઑક્ટોબર ૨૦૧૮ના રોજ ભાજપે મોદીને પક્ષના ૨૦૧૯ની લોકસભા ચૂંટણીમાં વડાપ્રધાન પદના ઉમેદવાર જાહેર કર્યા હતા. પક્ષ માટે મુખ્ય પ્રચારકર્તા અમિત શાહ હતા.

        નરેન્દ્ર મોદીએ વારાણસીમાંથી ચૂંટણી લડી હતી. એન.ડી.એ. વડે લોકસભામાં ૩૫૩ બેઠકો અને ભાજપ દ્વારા ૩૦૩ બેઠકો મેળવાઇ હતી અને મોદીને બીજી વખત વડા પ્રધાન તરીકે જાહેર કરાયા હતા.

*વડાપ્રધાન :* 

નરેન્દ્ર મોદીએ રાષ્ટ્રપતિ ભવન ખાતે ૨૬ મે ૨૦૧૪ના રોજ વડાપ્રધાન પદના શપથ લીધા. તેઓ ભારતના સૌથી પહેલા એવા વડાપ્રધાન છે જે આઝાદી પછી જન્મ્યા છે. ઇતિહાસમાં પહેલી વખત મોદીએ તેમના શપથગ્રહણ સમારોહમાં ઉપસ્થિત રહેવા માટે સાર્કના બધા જ વડાઓને આમંત્રણ આપ્યું હતું.

*નીતિઓ* 

 *આર્થિક નીતિ* 

તેમણે ૧૦૦૦ અને ૫૦૦ની ચલણી નોટો 8 નવેમ્બર ૨૦૧૬ના રોજ ભ્રષ્ટાચાર, કાળાં નાણાં અને નકલી ચલણી નોટો અને ત્રાસવાદને નાથવા માટે પાછી ખેંચી લેવાની જાહેરાત કરી હતી.

 *બંધારણીય નીતિ :* 

તેમણે બંધારણના અનુચ્છેદ ૩૭૦ની કલમ એક હેઠળ મળેલી સત્તાનો ઉપયોગ કર્યો અને ૧૯૫૪થી જમ્મુ-કાશ્મીરને વિશેષ રાજ્યનો દરજ્જો આપતા અનુચ્છેદને નાબૂદ કર્યો હતો. જેથી હવે બંધારણ (તથા તેમાં ભવિષ્યમાં થનારા દરેક સુધારા) જમ્મુ-કાશ્મીર ઉપર લાગુ થશે. વર્ષ ૨૦૧૪ તથા વર્ષ ૨૦૧૯ની લોકસભા ચૂંટણી દરમિયાન ભાજપે તેના ઢંઢેરામાં અનુચ્છેદ ૩૭૦ને નાબુદ કરવાની નેમ વ્યક્ત કરી હતી.

*પુરસ્કારો અને ઓળખ :* 

√ ૩૦ જાન્યુઆરી ૨૦૦૬ – "ઇન્ડિયા ટુડે" દ્વારા રાષ્ટ્ર ભરમાં હાથ ધરવામાં આવેલી મોજણીમાં, નરેન્દ્ર મોદીને દેશના શ્રેષ્ઠ મુખ્યમંત્રી તરીકે જાહેર કરવામાં આવ્યાં.
