Quit India Movement

PARA BUS 144

(Quit India Movement)

8 August 1942 area a The Quit India Movement was started by Gandhiji on 8 August 1942 during World War II to liberate Mother India from British slavery.  Simultaneously decided to start a mass civil disobedience movement to force the British to leave India.  The agitation led to large-scale violence at railway stations, telephone offices, government buildings and other places and institutions of the sub-investment regime.

There were many incidents of vandalism and the government blamed Gandhiji for the act of violence.  All the leading leaders of the movement were arrested and imprisoned.  During the Quit India Movement, did the British choose India?  And if the wound dies' became the motto of the Indians.  This movement was started by the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, Bapu started Maa Saini from the Mumbai session of the All India Congress Committee.  In the Do or Die movement, Gandhiji and his supporters made it clear that unless India was given independence, they would make it clear that this time the movement would not stop.

He called on all Congressmen and Indians to maintain discipline for ultimate independence through non-violence. On July 14, 1942, the Congress Working Committee passed a resolution on the Quit India Movement, also known as the August Revolution.

The aim of the movement was to bring an end to the British Empire from India, exactly seventeen years after the Kakori incident during the Indian War of Independence.  The agitation started on 8th August and just before the end of the day on 9th August 1942, the British government carried out all the deaths under "Operation Gaurau Amar" at 12 o'clock in the night and they were carried out in different parts of the country.

Gandhiji was kept in the Magakhan Palace in Pune, while other sampos were kept in the Ahmednagar district.  At the same time, the Congress was declared an unconstitutional body and banned.  Strikes and demonstrations were held in every part of the country in protest.  .

Leadership emerged from the people in the absence of Nainiya after the prominent leaders went to jail.  Aruna Asaf Ali accelerated the movement by flying a tricolor on August 9, 1942 at Gawania Takra Maidan. Leaders like Jayaprakash Narayan, Ram Manohar Lohia, Adbhut Pakshvardhan etc. provided leadership to the movement by staying underground.  Usha Mehta along with her colleagues broadcast Congress Radio from Bombay.

Firing, caning and arrests were carried out by Vitish Sanskar across the country, according to government figures, 942 people were killed and 1630 wounded in this mass movement and 18000 thousand Nazarbag Khasha while 60,229 people were arrested.  "Even after the repressive policy of the British, the movement did not stop and people started protesting against the British rule.

At the end of the movement, the British government signaled that power would be transferred to Indians in Kutch  According to Gandhiji, what is happening is a mass struggle, the effect of which was that by the end of 1943, India was united.  At the time, Gandhi stopped the movement, liberated the political prisoners including the Nainas of the Congress.  Announcing this, Gandhiji said that during the agitation, Aruna Asaf Ali and Usha Mehta held the key to operating the underground radio station.

Can learn about the three.  They were captured by the British in November 1942.

The Std • World World • World movement lasted for almost a year and a half.  Local agitators formed their own government at Midnapore in Bengal, Sara in Maharashtra and Balia in Uttar Pradesh.  Capturing the district administration in Ballia, he released the captured Congress leaders while the provincial government of Midnapore continued till 1944.  It was only after Mahatma Gandhi's appeal that the protesters agreed to end it.
