 Life

Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan (Sarvapalli is his surname, and Radhakrishnan is his name) was born 7 km northwest of Chennai (Old Madras) in Tamil Nadu.  Born into a middle class Brahmin family, in a remote village called Tiruttani.  Their mother tongue was Telugu.  His childhood was spent in Tiruttani, Tiruvelur and Tirupati.

On 5th September we celebrate the birthday of our former President Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan as "Teacher's Day".  Dr.  Radhakrishnan was a great philosopher and teacher.  He once said - "I am a teacher first, and then the president.

Radhakrishnan was born on September 6, 19 in Tirutani, Tamil Nadu.  Radhakrishnan was gifted in teaching from his childhood.  He obtained a master's degree in philosophy from Madras College in 1908.  His professors were very impressed with the dissertation he prepared for the master's degree when he was only twenty years old.  His dissertation was published at the age of twenty.  He did not like the subject of philosophy, but one of his distant brothers who was studying in his school and college used to give books of philosophy to Radhakrishnan.  Radhakrishnan read to pass the time and thus cultivated his hobby in philosophy.  Radhakrishnan started his career as a professor of philosophy in 1908.  In addition to his college job, he also wrote.  He wrote articles on philosophy in several contemporary journals.  His first book was The Philosophy of Rabindranath Tagore.  At the 19th Harvard University, he represented the University of Calcutta in the International Congress of Philosophy.  When India became independent in 1917, he was working as India's representative at UNESCO.  He was India's ambassador to the Soviet Union from 19 to 19.  He was elected President of India in the 19th century.  Enthusiasm was shown by his friends and students to celebrate his birthday when he became the President of India.

However, Radhakrishnan suggested celebrating his birthday as Teacher's Day.  Since then, his birthday has been celebrated as Teacher's Day in India.  Dr.  Radhakrishnan was honored with several British and Indian ilkabos for his service.  In 19, he was awarded the Bharat Ratna.  He was awarded the Templeton Award by Oxford University in the 19th century.  He donated all the prize money to the university.  Since then, Oxford University has hosted Dr.  Has started giving scholarships in memory of Radhakrishnan

Dr.  Radhakrishnan is known in the country as a philosopher president.  Years ago the philosopher Plato wrote that the ideal state is where the king is a philosopher.  Dr.  When Radhakrishnan became the President, it proved to be more or less true.  Radhakrishnan was born on the 19th in the religious city of Tirutani in Andhra Pradesh.  His father Sarvapalli Veeraswamy and mother Sitamma were poor Brahmins.  According to the tradition of South India, the word Sarvapalli in his name is in fact the name of a village.  Years ago their ancestors lived in this village.

Their progress was in a very straight line.  After reaching the Vice-Chancellor in the country, he was a Visiting Professor at Oxford University for 3 years.  There he taught Hinduism.  His students, meanwhile, were Indira Gandhi, MP Bhupesh Gupta and former Israeli Deputy Prime Minister Yigela Alo.

In 1918 he became the chairman of UNESCO.  On the 19th, Krishnan became India's ambassador to Russia.  Dictator Joseph Stalin was not ready to meet anyone.  But Radhakrishnan got it twice.  Instead of gesturing to Stalin, who came to power by aggression and force, Krishna said that it was our turn to repent in Kalinga after a king came to power.  The whole world was surprised by the two visits of Stalin and Krishnan.  In the 19th year, when the country needed a competent Vice President, Radhakrishnan was called to India.  From here he reached the highest position in India.  In 19 he was awarded the Bharat Ratna.  On the 19th, he was sworn in as the President of India and reduced his salary as President to Rs 5,000.  As noted earlier, he had a worldwide reputation.  As a result, when he arrived in the United States, he had the honor of being flown straight to the White House by helicopter.  They were the first foreigners to arrive at the White House this way.  In the final days they were forgetting a lot.  There were also serious health problems.  In the midst of that situation, they said good-bye on the early morning of April 19th.
