Provisions have been made to appoint traveling teachers during the period from 1/12/12 Rao in the period when regular teachers are not appointed to the vacant posts of teachers in government / non-government aided secondary and higher secondary schools of the state.  It is proposed to get the order of the Government by recommending to continue this scheme during the year 2017-20 and to implement this scheme as a permanent scheme without keeping it for a fixed period of time.  As per the provisions of the resolutions mentioned in Reference-3 of the Education Department, the term of the scheme for appointment of traveling teachers has been extended till 31/06/2021. 

 The term of the scheme for traveling teachers expires next March 2021.  Centrally recruiting process for candidates who have passed the TAT examination conducted by the State Examination Board in non-government aided schools of the state was announced on   .  

The recruitment process is an ongoing process.  After the completion of this process, an estimated 1500 teachers in non-government aided secondary schools of the state and 1500 posts in higher secondary department will remain vacant in the near future.
