Eklavya Model Residential Schools are functioning for the purpose of providing good accommodation and meals to the tribal children with a high-quality education. These schools are from Std-6 to Std-12. The school has facilities for commuter education, sports, painting, education, library etc. Applications are invited for admission in Std-6 in these Eklavya Model Residential Schools. |
The Talent Pool Scheme has been formulated by the Government of Gujarat for the students of Scheduled Tribes to get excellent education as well as facilities and admission in excellent schools. To take advantage of the Talentpool scheme, one has to pass the Eklavya Model Residential School Entrance Examination in the first stage. (In order to avail the benefit of Talentpool Scheme, the existing rules regarding the income limit of the Government will be taken into consideration at the time of admission.)
The student should be a Scheduled Tribe (ST). Must be at least 13 years of age at the time of admission,
Student / Student should be studying in Government School Ashram School or recognized Grant in Aid Schools (as per the list of Education Department) in Std-5 and should have passed Std-5 at the time of admission.
In Eklavya Model Residential Schools, 5% of the total seats will be reserved for (1) handicapped (2) Orphans (3) PVTG (3) Halpati.
EMRS other than Scheduled Tribes Priority will be given for admission up to 10% for students of school staff, children of widowed mothers and children of disabled parents. The required applicable certificate must be submitted at the time of counseling.
Under the sports quota, admission will be given to eligible Scheduled Tribe students who excel in sports up to 20% seats. (Winners at District Level, State Level, and National Level - Preference will be given). The required certificate must be submitted at the time of counseling.
Places to submit the admission application form:
After filling the application form, the examination center at which the examination is to be given should be submitted in person or by post at the examination center. And the admission letter will be issued to the examinees from the same place or the application form can be sent by post to the examination center where the examination is to be given and the admission letter will be sent by post from the same examination center.
If the application is sent to a place other than this, it will not be accepted. No documentary evidence of eligibility is required during the examination. If the candidates qualify for admission at the end of the test, they will have to submit supporting evidence at the time of admission.
Candidates who appear in Merit will be called for counseling for the selection of Eklavya School. The candidate will have to submit the documentary evidence at that time, so that the candidate will be asked to apply only after verifying that he / she is eligible. Admission will not be granted under any circumstances if the candidate does not qualify even though he has passed the examination at the time of admission.
Examination Method:
Examination Date 28/04/2024 will be held on Sunday, and students will have to reach the examination venue at 10:30 am. Exam time will be from 11.30 am to 2.00 pm. The question paper will ask optional questions from subjects related to language skills (English and Gujarati), science, and mathematics as well as general knowledge, intelligence and practice. The total time for writing the question paper will be 2 hours and 30 minutes.
The examination will be conducted by the OMR system.
