A uniform examination schedule for semester evaluation of students studying in Government, Granted and Independent Primary Schools of all mediums in the State is enclosed for which the following instructions are to be observed.

For the first semester examinations of class 3 to 8, the pattern of each subject will be prepared from the state level and given to all district education training centers. Question papers will be prepared by diet as per this prescribed pattern

First semester syllabus will be taken into consideration in all subjects of class 3rd to 8th in Sadar test.

Gujarati (first language), mathematics, science, social science, environment subject tests based on the same schedule, along with government and aided schools, independent primary schools also have to prepare the test papers based on the prescribed format based on the prescribed schedule. Also, the test of the rest of the subjects will have to be conducted by the independent primary schools voluntarily based on the schedule prepared at their school level, taking into account the prescribed format. The aided schools have to pay the prescribed amount for the question papers to the District Primary Education Officer / Governing Officer.

If self-reliant schools wish, they can get all the question papers from the District Primary Education Officer/Government Officer and use them in their school. For this, the amount fixed by the District Primary Education Officer, the Governing Body shall be paid by the self-supporting institution.

Government as well as aided primary schools shall conduct the same tests in all subjects on the basis of the same time-table.

In the schools where shift system is in force, the examination of all the subjects of all the standards shall be conducted as per the given schedule.

Test papers will be prepared and given through District Education and Training Bhavan. In which the responsibility of proofreading the paper, language correction will be the responsibility of District Education Committee – District Primary Education Officer and in Town Education Committee – Governing Officer.

Students of class 3 and 4 have to write answers in the test paper. Students of class 5 to 8 have to write their answers in a separate answer book.

Necessary arrangement of maps in social science subject and graph paper in mathematics subject should be done by the district administration / corporation along with the test papers.

Scrutiny of answer sheets under semester test should be done at school level itself.
