 The government has made a big decision for those who have become unemployed due to the corona virus infection.  The government has notified the decision to increase power under the Atal Bimit Vyakti Kalyan Yojana.  The government has extended the time limit for availing the benefit of Atal Insured Welfare Scheme to 30 June 2021.

This is a kind of unemployment allowance.  The benefit accrues to employees who are covered under the ESI scheme or whose ESI is deducted from their monthly salary.


According to government rules, industrial workers who have lost their jobs in Corona will be given 50 per cent salary and employment benefit for 3 months.  The benefit of this is that people will get their jobs from March 24 to March 31



The benefit is that people will get their jobs lost between March 24 and December 31.  The first scheme was extended till December 31, 2020.  However, it is now possible to take advantage of it by June 2021.  Unemployed on or before March 23, 2020 or January 1, 2021.  Such insured persons will in fact be subject to the terms of eligibility for the Atal Insured Personal Welfare Scheme. 


 Even if a person is insured with ESIC but has been dismissed due to misconduct, a case is pending against the person or the person has retired before retirement, they will not get the benefit.

The Insured has worked for at least 2 years before leaving the job or has worked for at least 78 days at the time of notification.  The victim must make the claim within 30 days of leaving the job.  For this the claim form has to be submitted directly to the ESIC branch office 1 line.  You can also go to the ESIC website and download the Atal Bimit Vyakti Kalyan Yojana form.  The claim money will be credited to the insured's bank account within 15 days of receiving the form.  The base will be used to identify the person.
