The objective of the scheme
- To increase the birth rate of daughters.
- Reducing the dropout ratio in one daughters education.
- To empower daughters / women in the society.
- Prevent child marriage.
- The Vahli Dikari Yojana application form will be available free of cost from the Anganwadi Center / Gram Panchayat / CDPO (ICDS) office / District Women and Child Officer's office
- Families of daughters born after date. 02/08/2018 will have to apply within one year time limit for the birth of a daughter in the prescribed form along with supporting evidence.
Eligibility of Beneficiary :-
- The daughters who have been admitted on or after date. 02-08-2019 will be eligible for the benefit of this scheme.
- A maximum of two daughters of the Shik couple will be eligible for the scheme.
- Both the couple's first and second daughters will benefit. But after the second daughter, the couple should have undergone fertility surgery.
- If she has a first son and a second daughter, the second daughter will be eligible for assistance. But after the second daughter, the couple should have undergone fertility surgery.
- In the exceptional case of giving birth to the first son and the second two daughters (twins) or more at once, all the daughters will be entitled to the benefit of 'Vhali Dikari Yojana'. But after the second daughter, the couple should have undergone fertility surgery.
- The mother should be 18 years of age or older at the time of birth of a daughter.

Income limit in Vahli daughter scheme
- The annual income limit of the couple (joint spouse) seeking benefit under Vhali Dikari scheme should be the same for rural and urban area of Rs. The eligibility of income limit should be taken into consideration in the context of the year ending on 31st March immediately after the birth of the beneficiary.
- The first installment in "Whali Dikri Yojana" will be Rs. 4,000 / - to the daughters at the time of admission in first standard.
- The second was Rs. 6000/-to the daughters ar the time of admission in nineth standatd
- A total of Rs.1,00,000 / - will be available as education / marriage assistance, but the daughter should not be child marriage

Vahli Dikri Yojana Application Form
Like the other state government schemes such as Haryana (Ladli Scheme), Karnataka (Bhagyashree Scheme), Rajasthan (Raj Shree Yojana), Maharashtra (Majhi Kanya Bhagyashree Scheme), Madhya Pradesh(Ladli Laxmi Yojana) and West Bengal (Kanya Prakalpa Scheme), State Government of Gujarat also announced Vahli Dikri Yojana. Under this scheme, the government will provide financial assistance to the girl child. Beneficiaries will get this assistance in three stages. For the successful implementation of the scheme in the state, the government has sanctioned 133 crore rupees in the state budget for this scheme.

Objectives of the scheme

- Annual income of the applicant’s family should not more than Rs. 2 Lakh

Selection Procedure Under Gujarat Vahli Dikri Yojana
